Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 is a black polyethylene film reinforced with a saturated crepe paper for outdoor masking and hot air leveling of printed circuit boards. The polyethylene backing is resistant to many solvents, water solutions and emulsions and paint strippers of the wax-base type and the mild caustic solution solvent-emulsion type.
This family of masking tapes consists of paper with a crinkled or puckered texture. This allows the paper to stretch or elongate making it useful to curve and conform to irregular surfaces better than flat paper.
This full line of masking tapes consists of pressure sensitive crepe paper, fine line, flatback and film products. Selection is based on particular application, temperature, holding power, paint edge sharpness and removeablility requirements.
